A Final Freedom

The dreamer awakens to sense it's purpose of dreaming. Beyond doubt and fear, one hides with in it's subtly veiled domain.
'Being' always shall be the mystery.  Being what?

It's constant surges, and forever beaches could never quench one's thirst. Not quite touching our lips. Always just on the tips.  Never quite satisfying with its illusion.
An unnecessary realm for anyone truly seeking.  Seeking what?

Through understanding death can life truly finds it's worth.
Through living life can death truly finds it's respect.

The veil reveals more than expected... Fear becoming more than just a response to the unknown; but also a jailer... an enslaver.
Eternal?  Only if one wishes it, silently... belief can create and destroy with the same hand.

To shed our skin... from it's comfortable jaws, so sharp is its hug... is our only escape.  Escaping what?

A Final Freedom.

How does one study time?...

to truly study time, one needs to experience the lack of time...
to compare its effect.

But without it, we do not exist... or do we?

A blog comment for another site

I am interested in what you have to say.  Don't be scared. These web logs are great for saying anything you are feel. It's kind of gives a heart to the internet amongst all the chaos.

On Good and Evil - The PROPHET, by Kahlil Gibran

There are many books out there, that you could consider worth more for it's pulp than it's words... but not this one.

Kahlil has a way with words that is beyond language.
Spiritual, but not putting a religious cage on it's meaning.

This chapter touched me, and I hope you can see why... we are but the same...

------------------------------------------------------

On Good & Evil

And one of the elders of the city said, "Speak to us of Good and Evil."

And he answered:

Of the good in you I can speak, but not of the evil.

For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst?

Verily when good is hungry it seeks food even in dark caves, and when it thirsts, it drinks even of dead waters.

You are good when you are one with yourself.

Yet when you are not one with yourself you are not evil.

For a divided house is not a den of thieves; it is only a divided house.

And a ship without rudder may wander aimlessly among perilous isles yet sink not to the bottom.

You are good when you strive to give of yourself.

Yet you are not evil when you seek gain for yourself.

For when you strive for gain you are but a root that clings to the earth and sucks at her breast.

Surely the fruit cannot say to the root, "Be like me, ripe and full and ever giving of your abundance."

For to the fruit giving is a need, as receiving is a need to the root.

You are good when you are fully awake in your speech,

Yet you are not evil when you sleep while your tongue staggers without purpose.

And even stumbling speech may strengthen a weak tongue.

You are good when you walk to your goal firmly and with bold steps.

Yet you are not evil when you go thither limping.

Even those who limp go not backward.

But you who are strong and swift, see that you do not limp before the lame, deeming it kindness.

You are good in countless ways, and you are not evil when you are not good,

You are only loitering and sluggard.

Pity that the stags cannot teach swiftness to the turtles.

In your longing for your giant self lies your goodness: and that longing is in all of you.

But in some of you that longing is a torrent rushing with might to the sea, carrying the secrets of the hillsides and the songs of the forest.

And in others it is a flat stream that loses itself in angles and bends and lingers before it reaches the shore.

But let not him who longs much say to him who longs little, "Wherefore are you slow and halting?"

For the truly good ask not the naked, "Where is your garment?" nor the houseless, "What has befallen your house?"

Enough Negativity

I have recently found out that there are a few people checking out this site.  I find this unexpected.  But pleased that people have found something worth checking out with my banters, cartoons, and experiments in thought.

So with the holiday kicking in (jewish, christian, muslin, and pagan)...

... I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Winter Solistices, and may you stand by all your wishes for the newyear. You empower your own actions.  Words are meaningless unless you put your back in to it.  Nothing is easy... and hardwork is where success lies.

Xmas for most people...

What most people feel they must do to prove their love for their families and friends around Xmas time...

Buy buy buy...

What people should be doing is loving their families and friends ALL YEAR ROUND...

what most people in this world really do around Xmas time...

Spend money on crap...

Work their arses off to pay for it all...

Thankful that they are not starving like the rest of the planet...

This may seem a little harse, but to most cushy middle class tech oriented humans, this is the guilty truth.

Story from my heart

Hmmm...

The heart inspires the mind... the mind creates an association, comparison, poetic abstraction... then feebially puts what it thinks is reality into small black and white characters which then someone’s reads... in hope that they could understand the fire that swelled to inspired the mind in the first place.  So many layers and filters.

It all goes back to our story telling origins.

To see an abstract concept one uses mythology to explain the passion.  Now I am over analyzing and avoiding the reason why I started this...

Let me tell you a story...

Once upon a time there was a little boy bunny and a little girl lizard who feel in love with each other.  Two creatures for very different worlds. They frolicked in the meadows and shared each other's world.

Almost perfect... but with every story, there are stories behinds stories, behind stories...

The lizard had been injured in a battle many years prior, having her heart torn from its ventricles by a snake with greedy passion.  It’s a wonder why the lizard was still alive, but there is a lot you can do with haywire and ductape.

The bunny was in deep heart felt engagements with a sad eyed puppy dog.  This puppy dog had much love for the bunny, but would react by biting him on the foot.

"Why did you bite me?"

"I don't know."

That hurt the bunny more than simply the injury.  In the trees were some beautiful flowers that he wanted to hop up and share with the puppy he loved... but sadly, with his injury, was not able to.  Eventually the bunny limped sadly away from the puppy dog, to heal his foot in a bush of blackberries.

Now upon meeting the lizard, the bunnies foot was it great shape.  With new inspiration, he jumped up the tree and snatched a flower from its branches.  The lizard was impressed, never seeing a flower like that before, felt that it would work great as a new heart.

The bunny gave the lizard the flower, and in place of her heart the flower sat.

It worked.  The flower filled the lizard with what it was missing.  But soon the flower wilted and its effect as a heart replacement was no more.

"Can you get me another one?" The little lizard asked the fluffy bunny.

The bunny being of an earnest sort, leaped up and grabbed another flower. This time in landing, he hurt his little bunny foot.

The lizard put the flower into her chest cavity and felt satisfied.  Mmmmmmm.

The bunny now with a hurt foot, asked the lizard for help.  The lizard to amazed by the feelings and elated emotions, didn't hear the request and stared off into the clouds.

This of course didn’t seem quite right to the bunny and he wandered to his blackberry bush to heal.

The lizards flower began to wilt and its effect was wearing off.  She needed another flower.

"But where is the bunny?"  It followed the trail of the bunny to the black berry bush, but could not enter.  "Why have you forsaken me bunny?" tears welling in the lizards eyes.

The bunny upon seeing this, growing tears, hopped out and played in the fields.

"Can you get me another flower?"

The bunny replied "but my foot is not fully healed, it may injury me more."

The lizard raised her voice "don't you love me?"

He did love her so he leaped up and tried to grab another flower from the tree.  Only half a flower came down and the bunny landed on a rock, injuring it whole leg.

The lizard grabbed what was left of the flower, not to impressed the it was on half a flower, and crammed it into her chest. She then stared off into the clouds longingly.

The bunny was in tears.  "Could you please help me lizard, my leg is now injured and I can't get home."

The lizard didn’t respond. either not hearing or to distracted by the power of the flower.

The injured bunny, unable to walk, crawled back to his blackberry bush.

The effects of the flower soon faded sooner, so the lizard looked around for the bunny.

"Can you get me another...?”

Bunny interrupted "I will not get another flower for you for I am not able.  So now if you can excuse me I need to rest."

The lizard, shocked, began to cry. "Why are you doing this to me? I don’t understand?"

The bunny, almost back into the blackberry bush, turned and spoke.

"The first time I got you the flower we were meant to share it, and you kept it to your self.  The second time I hurt myself and you lend no helping hand.  The third time I pleaded with you for help again, and you ignored my cries.  Now you come to me, with your anger and blame.  All I ask is for you to think of my feelings. Please."

The lizard stunned "But what about me!"

The bunny, now sadder then ever, crawled into his bush.  He ate some black berries, read a good book, and listen to the songs sung by the clouds.

The end

Funny how stories can say more then the objective happenings.  A world on to its own.

Turkey Talk

As the sun rises on the digital horizon...

A friend of mine suggested I do a certain "Tradition" concerning the whole taking a picture with a turkey thing... so this one's for you.
I hope this is what you had in mind?  by the way, I liked your shots.
I would like to say that now THIS will be my yearly tradition.

For the rest of you... enjoy the experience.

Thanks,

A Poem From Evie (Thanks)

The Victor

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win but think you can't,
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you are out classed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of your-self before
You can ever win the prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

Stress: a necessary element in a healthy life

A friend put it in a harshly realistic way- which is really the only way to discuss reality...

You live longer with stress-

let me explain- with no stress in your life, you get lazy, lethargic, and with the accumulation of lesser mental or physical activity, one gets fat and dies sooner than necessary.  On that note... too much stress would do the same... fast track to the grave.

Everything in moderation.

A healthy life solution is to get rid of most of your stress, but not all of it.  Lean mean fighting/loving machine.  A little exercise help too...

(diets are not for fat people, only sick ones, but that's for another time...)

The Invisible Walls

I figured something out last night...

There's people that get thrown behind bars because they have no choice. They don't want to be in it, but for whatever reason they are forced to by social, financial or law oriented influences. Jail, funny farm, dead-end jobs, etc...

Then there are those people that CHOOSE to be locked away. They work behind bars (secured office buildings, Large vehicles, fences...)- not leaving - Not cuz they can't, but cuz they FEAR anything from the outside of themselves.

There can be bars... But that doesn't matter. The bars in ones mind are always stronger.

The end result always the same.

We are more of a slave to our own emotions, then we would like to admit.

Are you?

The only thing you can take to your grave...

A Fighting Chance

When we give up our personal fight...

the battle fall onto many fronts...

delicate things that we love, get smashed be-cuz we are no longer defending them...

our power is stolen by thieves that B&E into our lives...

and sleep becomes a cocoon where spiders feed on our spirit...

leaving us will a half empty glass called ourselves.

Fight for who you are.  Always.

The Journey of Love

These are a series of photos I grab off the net.  It's an experiment in the movement of the photos and the wording of their titles, with a theme.
Can you guess what this theme is?  The Album title is a hint...

And a few words from our sponser...

There are a couple of things that I have been liking about the internet (the spider webs of our society):

1.  Having access to information that our fore fathers and mothers would of only dreamt of...

of course the percentage of useful information (business, trivia, photos, cookbooks, how-to's, etc...) is heavy out weighted by the USELESS information (bad jokes, pronography, gambling options, viagra adverts, spam, etc...) which seems to only grow larger as this system of communication evolves out of it's toddler years.

2.  Being able to communicate (commune) with others where distance has been erased.

Like the old monks meditating on the mountain and sharing their sacred thoughts, we get to tickle a keyboard with our minds and send them where ever a silcon crystal base station (computer) exists on it information highways.

and of couse the most important for one of my many obsessions...

3. Getting to post my old cartoons that other could see without having to spend "X" amount of dollars or printing and distibution.

Stay tooned... ;)

Our Personal Journey's

Blog walkers...
that is a great name for peering into other peoples lives... We are all navigators in this exspansive world of 1's and 0's.

Thanks for the awesome feedback on my mystical nights adventure... funny how people can touch with thoughts and images... but that's another story.

The search for beauty can be a mayor part of our adventure in our micro/macro lives.

The one thing about why a flower is beautiful is because of it's temperary appearance in our lives.  Somethings are not meant to last forever, but still have a dramatic effect on our being... forever.

One of these wonderful (I love that word) comments, I wanted to post properly as part of my site, not just as a mere comment:

 ------------------------xxx-------------------------

Beauty in the eye of a devious mind, Is there still beauty??

Take a close look – lets see what we find.
Scratch off the rugged surface of the specimen you wish to grade,
Look far beyond the mask they wear,
The flesh in which we are made.
Find Love, Remorse, and Compassion.
Some real emotions to name a few.

Dig inside their mind, A sure way to see who’s true. To themselves and to those we share this life with.
Don’t be decieved by the stories, the lies, and the myths.

Don’t believe what you see – close your eyes, trust your heart.
If you know pure beauty within – you’ve got a head start.

Take a moment… Observe the obvious beauties –
the element, this world, and the stars.

Take a lifetime… To absorb freedom, serenity, unity –
make it all that you are.

Share your beauty and thoughts with those that you find.

Even knowledge can be the sexiest part of a mind.
So open your self to what others perceive.

Enveloping beauty – you’re sure to receive. ~E

Bueaty...

Beauty...
...is not skin deep...
...and can not be put into a bottle.

Beauty is not found with your credit card, or with people that don't know the difference between plastic & reality...

Beauty radiates from within...
                              ...and not without soul...

What do you consider beautiful?

Do you see this within yourself?

Do us all a favor...
                                   ...find it.
